Details: Ashley House is a specialist independent hospital offering person-centred assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services in a low secure environment for adults with challenging behaviours associated with a learning or developmental disability or autism, including those with forensic backgrounds. It is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as an Independent Hospital able to take patients liable to be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983, as amended in 2007.

Ashley House is registered to admit up to 43 patients and is situated on a seven acre site in a pleasant rural location on the edge of the village of Ashley, mid-way between Market Drayton and Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire and about 15 minutes from Junction 15 of the M6.

Support Workers make up the largest staff group at Care Principles. They provide support to our patients and service users ensuring they develop and maintain their daily hygiene, dietary and self-help skills.

As a Support Worker you will act as a positive role model for patients and residents, encouraging them in their daily activities, educational and behavioural support programmes, and their recreational activities. You will help each individual look for the positives in themselves as they make the journey along their pathway of care towards greater independence and a better quality of life.

We offer a range of safe and supportive therapeutic environments where we can help service users and patients, who may be detained under the Mental Health Act, gain the skills, confidence and capabilities to be able to cope more effectively and take greater responsibility for their own behaviour.
