Details: Cedar House is a specialist independent hospital offering person-centred assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services in a low secure environment for adults with challenging behaviour associated with a learning or developmental disability or autism, including those with forensic backgrounds. In addition, Cedar House also offers a specialist service for patients diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome orHigh Functioning Autism. It is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as an Independent Hospital able to take patients liable to be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983, as amended in 2007.

Cedar House is registered to admit up to 44 patients and is situated in Barham, near Canterbury in Kent.

Our nurses undertake the role of primary/named-nurse to a set number of patients or service users at their hospital or specialist care home. They are responsible for providing nursing input in support of the therapeutic programme, supervising care staff in their team, and attending patient reviews and other meetings.

If you wish to pursue a career in nurse management it is possible to make real progress. We provide leadership, guidance and training to those seeking to take on extra management and clinical responsibility.

Whether you are recently qualified or more experienced we can offer mentorship / preceptorship and full support in your PREP work. You will work within our named-nurse environment and have full participation in the care planning for our patients and residents.
