Vacancy: Consultant Psychiatrist - Maaori Mental Health

Details: Maaori Mental Health, Counties Manukau District Health Board, is a leader in delivering indigenous services to mental health consumers.

Key features of this service include:
* Emphasis on educating and supporting whaanau in caring for their own
* Delivery of care in partnership community support services
* Forging pathways with primary health care to ensure sustainable discharge; embracing recovery principles in every activity
* A multi-disciplinary team comprising Kaumatua/Kuia, community support workers, peer support workers, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, psychiatrists and psychologists; and Te Taha Maaori-focused service provision.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist, with previous experience in crisis resolution and dealing with high complex needs.

Applicants must be eligible for registration in specialist areas with the New Zealand Medical Council.
